The awards, which will run online, are a celebration of the Blackburn with Darwen community and will give recognition to those employees, businesses and business owners that went above and beyond as the pandemic swept across the Country.
An overwhelming number of nominations were received for the new awards which will shine a light on the Borough at the virtual event online on Thursday, 26th November 2020 at 7pm.
Chairman of HIVE, Ian Brown said: “In these unprecedented times it has been heart-warming to see the communities of Blackburn with Darwen come together to support each other, our key workers and of course our NHS. We were very humbled by the nominations we received and it really shows how we can come together in times of desperate need to support each other.”
“We can’t wait to share those nominations with you so please do register to watch the free event as we recognise those that really have gone that extra mile and more at a time of national crisis. We will be announcing winners on the night and we hope you can join us.”
The awards will be hosted by Blackburn comedian, actor and writer Tez Ilyas in a ceremony which will last for approximately 30 minutes.
